Sleep outside for one night so New Jersey youth facing homelessness don’t have to.
While 2020 was a year we will never forget, our commitment to serve young people overcoming homelessness never wavered. Our doors remained open during the pandemic for the thousands of kids who needed us most. 2021 provides us with the opportunity to serve more youth and to welcome our Covenant House community home. Please join us for a Sleep Out and help us to change lives!
What is Sleep Out? Sleep Out is a transformative overnight experience, similar to a 5K walk/run for a cause, where our youth, partners, volunteers, and staff all come together in solidarity, either virtually or in-person. The night includes a series of impactful programs and workshops, then everyone hunkers down and sleeps outside overnight. In the morning there is a time for reflection with everyone that is always very moving. Sleepers who sign up to sleep outside and fundraise are raising the funds that are a lifeline for youth overcoming homelessness.
The funds raised through Sleep Out are a lifeline for youth overcoming homelessness. And the movement includes executives, companies, women, students, young professionals, influencers, and individuals from across the state. Every participant sends a clear message to our youth that they are not alone. Everyone is included in this movement including executives, young professionals, students, influencers, and individual volunteers across the state.
