Dear Friends,
I am so very honored to introduce to you some of the bravest people that I know. These incredible young people have already overcome more adversity and tragedy in their young lives than most of us will know in a lifetime. They are brave, intelligent, compassionate, and strong. They are overcomers! They have taken the worst of this world and are turning it around to change the world.
Our precious young people have given us a great gift. In their own words, they are allowing us to journey with them for a few minutes through the tragedy they have known to the victory they have achieved. Their stories are the ‘why’ Covenant House New Jersey exists. We need to celebrate them and their progress. But we also need to remember the horror of their past, for there are literally thousands of young people that still need us to rescue them. They need us to find them, to care for them, and to love them back to life. So, for whatever your part in making these transformations possible, I thank you from the deepest part of my heart. Let us continue on together for there are kids depending on us.
