A Message from Jim White – Outgoing Executive Director
I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. Today, I write to you with a mix of emotions as I reach the end of my remarkable journey as the Executive Director of Covenant House New Jersey and as I am passing the torch to Julia Einbond, our new Executive Director. As I reflect on the past three decades, it fills me with immense pride and gratitude to have been a part of such a noble cause that has positively impacted the lives of countless young people.
Throughout my tenure, this organization has grown and evolved in ways I could have never imagined. Together, we have worked tirelessly to create a safe haven for homeless and at-risk youth, providing them with not just shelter, food, and clothing, but also compassion, guidance, and opportunities for a brighter future. It has been an honor to witness the transformative power of love, empathy, and perseverance in the lives of these remarkable individuals.
I will continue to serve Covenant House New Jersey as Associate Executive Director heading up our Development effort. I’m excited to accept this new challenge to grow our fundraising in light of our ever increasing costs along with peak bed capacity. I expect to reach out to many of you in this new role!
Passing the Torch to Julia Einbond
I am pleased to introduce you to the new torchbearer who will lead Covenant House New Jersey into the next chapter of its inspiring journey. It is with great enthusiasm and confidence that I welcome Julia Einbond as the new Executive Director.
Many of you may already be familiar with Julia, as she has been an invaluable member of our leadership team for the past eight years. Her dedication, professionalism, and passion for our mission have consistently shone through in her work, and I have no doubt that she will bring a fresh vision and vitality to her new role. Julia has been instrumental in strategizing and implementing numerous initiatives that have strengthened our programs and expanded our reach to serve even more vulnerable youth within our communities.
Julia’s extensive experience in non-profit management, coupled with her deep understanding of the challenges faced by our youth facing homelessness, makes her the perfect candidate to lead this organization into the future. Her commitment to our values and steadfast belief in the inherent potential of every individual, as manifested in her recent work with CHART, is truly inspiring and will undoubtedly foster continued growth and success for Covenant House New Jersey.
I have full confidence that you will extend the same warmth and support to Julia that you have graciously shown me throughout my journey here. As she embarks on this new chapter, I encourage you all to lend her your expertise, guidance, and unwavering dedication in ensuring that Covenant House New Jersey remains a beacon of hope for those in need.
Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support, collaboration, and tireless efforts over the years. Together, we have made an indelible impact on the lives of those we serve, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved as a team. I leave this organization knowing that it is in capable hands, and with the hope that you will continue to drive positive change in the lives of young people who deserve a chance.
