Julia Einbond became CEO of Covenant House New Jersey in 2023. She joined CHNJ in 2015 as its first director of strategy and learning. Since then, Julia has helped to establish CHNJ as a leader in using data and information to strengthen and redesign programs to enhance outcomes for youth facing homelessness and trafficking.
Prior to being named executive director, Julia was Associate Executive Director of CHART, Covenant House Action and Research Tank, a CHNJ project that applies research to services impacting young people facing homelessness and individuals experiencing human trafficking. She also supported Covenant House’s anti-trafficking program across our federation.
Julia has worked as a consultant for various United Nations agencies and international NGOs, conducting evaluations of programs on a range of topics, including child protection, gender-based violence, justice, and results-based management.
Julia received her JD from New York University, where she was a Root Tilden Kearn scholar. After graduation, she clerked for the Hon. Mitchell S. Goldberg of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Julia received her undergraduate degree from Harvard College.
