NY Giants & NY Jets Provide Wonderful Gifts

While the NY Giants and NY Jets are fierce competitors on the field, they came together to provide wonderful holiday gifts to the youth of CHNJ and CHNY.

Defensive Tackle of the NY Giants, Jonotthan Harrison, and Linebacker NY Jets, Blake Cashman joined together with our youth via a virtual holiday party on December 21st spreading some much needed holiday joy and cheer. Thanks to the generosity of both players, the young people will find Christmas gifts under the tree on Christmas morning.

This holiday tradition was started by Linebacker, Brandon Copeland of the Atlantic Falcons. Brandon was the winner of the NFLPA’s Alan Page award in 2020. Brandon and his wife Taylor have partnered with Covenant House across the country for his “December to Remember”. They have connected each Covenant House to an NFL player in their city. Each player has provided gift cards for each of our youth at the shelter to make their holiday extra special. For more on Brandon’s work, click here.

Thank you to the NY Giants, NY Jets and Brandon for providing wonderful gifts at this holiday season and for being true champions to the youth facing homelessness at Covenant House.  For more stories about help we are receiving click here.
