Saquon Barkley Supports CHNJ

NY Giant’s Captain and superstar running back Saquon Barkley supports CHNJ again this year. For the 4th consecutive year, Saquon will be the Chairman of CHNJ’s Sleep Out Executive Edition, which is a critical advocacy effort on behalf of youth overcoming homelessness in New Jersey. The Sleep Out supports the work of Covenant House NJ which provides immediate shelter and care for youth facing homelessness age 18-21.

Saquon supporting CHNJ – 2019

Sleep Out: Executive Edition is a transformative overnight experience where business executives in our community come together on November 17th to support the youth facing homelessness we serve. The night includes inspiring programs and workshops, after which everyone sleeps outside overnight at (1) our shelter in Newark, (2) virtually at their homes, or (3) at a location of their choice. Last year’s event raised over $1.5 million to help youth facing homelessness and we are hoping for an even bigger event this year with Saquon’s continuing support.

All you have to do is take the time to get to know the young people at Covenant House to see how good they are…they’re resilient, brave, funny, and talented,” said Saquon.  “These are great kids, and their futures are filled with potential.

In addition to serving as Chairman of the Sleep Out, Saquon will also be hosting three youth and a CHNJ staff member at each NYG home game including pre-game access to the field and a post game meeting with him. He has truly been “True Blue” to our kids, community, and mission!

We’re so grateful for the continuing support of Saquon as well as many others in the New York Giants organization and look forward to our best ever Sleep Out Executive Edition.
